If you are interested in mooting, appellate-level advocacy, and the law: Mini Moot is a phenomenal opportunity. Mini Moot is unique in that there is an educational and also an experiential component—prospective mooters receive training in a camp which teaches invaluable skills: how to read a case, how to write submissions, how to apply precedent case law, and how to answer legal questions. Then, following the conclusion of the camp, mooters are provided the opportunity to test their newly acquired skills in a consolidated tournament format consisting of two qualifying rounds, a semi-final, and a final.

Absolutely! If you buy a Mini Moot ticket, the Social & Case Brief is an optional add-on. You can also purchase a ticket just for the Social/Brief: "Mooting 101". We highly recommend attending because it will be a great advantage going into Mini Moot, tryouts, and the mooting year overall.
-
No, but you can buy a ticket for "Mooting 101" where you'll learn some key concepts. However, the best way to learn how to moot is to actually moot—Mini Moot is an incredibly low-stakes, experiential learning opportunity where almost all participants have never mooted before. Be brave, try it!!
-
The "Mini Moot Admission" ticket only grants you access to our Mini Moot events. UTPLSA Membership (which we're offering at a single reduced cost) grants you access to year-long UTPLSA events and benefits. This is a cost-effective option that covers all your bases!

They are similar, but the Mini Moot Camp is more specific and in-depth. Hence, the Mini Moot Camp is longer than the Mooting 101 Educational Component.
