Mini Moot 2026

The Moot Journey Begins

Mini Moot 2026 Award Winners

U of T moot was proud to host the 11th annual mini moot competition

On September 26, 2026, UofT Moot hosted their annual in-house mooting tournament, comprised of a practice round, two qualifying rounds, a semi-finals, and a grand final. Mini Moot is an integral opportunity for students new and interested in Moot to gain hands-on experience in a courtroom setting.

We proudly hosted 18 teams in 5 rounds of competition. Participants prepared submissions on behalf of both the appellant and respondent side of a case. They put their skills to work at the tournament through analyzing the case, drafting their submissions, applying legal precedent and caselaw, and answering judge questions. Each round, trained judges comprised of UofT’s Moot Captains, Directors, and past members gave valuable feedback and insight into improving each participant’s oral advocacy.

Warm congratulations to all participants, especially to teams and advocates recognized for their outstanding performance and presence in court.
